A Unique Setting for Your Wedding

Celebrate one of life’s most important days in the idyllic surroundings of Hietala. Located in a traditional Lapland village and surrounded by wilderness, Hietala offers a beautiful and distinctive setting for an unforgettable wedding.

During summer, celebrations can extend throughout the courtyard and its historic buildings. The wedding ceremony can take place outdoors, inside Hietala or at the nearby Unari Chapel.

Inside the main restaurant, more than 110-year-old log walls create a warm and atmospheric setting for wedding celebrations of up to 100 guests.

Our menus are inspired by local Lapland ingredients and seasonal flavours, and special requests can be taken into account.

Accommodation is available in Kierinki Village Guesthouse and our holiday apartments, making it easy for your guests to stay close to the celebration. We are here to help you plan your celebration, from the schedule and practical arrangements to the day itself.

Birthdays & Private Celebrations

Celebrate Together at Hietala

Invite your family and friends to celebrate in the unique surroundings of Hietala.

Birthday parties and other private celebrations can be arranged according to your wishes, for both small and larger groups.

During summer, several buildings around the courtyard can become part of your celebration, including the Small Red House, Barn Restaurant, Barn Bar and the Main Building.

The atmospheric Barn Bar also provides a memorable setting for an evening of music and traditional barn dancing.

Meetings & Seminars

Meetings with a Different Perspective

Leave the ordinary meeting room behind. Hietala’s peaceful rural setting offers companies and groups an inspiring environment for meetings, seminars and private events.

Several spaces around the Hietala courtyard can be used for corporate events and meetings.

Meeting equipment includes two projectors and screens, a high-quality sound system and Wi-Fi. A fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere to the setting.

Catering, accommodation and activities can also be included in your event according to your group’s needs.

Festivals & Public Events

A Village Made for Events

Kierinki has a long tradition of bringing people together. Over the years, the village has hosted events ranging from country markets and theatre festivals to blues and country music festivals.

Winter events have also attracted visitors from across Finland, while local events increasingly welcome international guests.

Hietala and its courtyard are often at the heart of village events, offering a distinctive setting for food, music and gathering together.
